Mukundadighi Primary School

In collaboration with Roundtable India, we enhanced the learning environment at Mukundadighi Primary School in Mankur by constructing new classrooms and providing essential furniture, such as benches and chairs. These efforts are designed to improve facilities and foster a more conducive atmosphere for learning among students.

MANKUR NORTH PRIMARY SCHOOL & DWIPMALITA PRIMARY SCHOOL

In collaboration with Roundtable India, we focused on enhancing the learning environments of 2 schools near our manufacturing unit in Deulti, West Bengal. At Mankur North Primary School (Deulti), 4 classrooms were built and essential furniture like benches and chairs were provided. Another significant upgrade was made at the Dwipmalita Primary School in Nadia, where 6 new classrooms were constructed. These efforts aim to provide students with improved facilities, fostering a more conducive atmosphere for learning.

BAGNAN COLLEGE

In Bagnan College, where skill development was hampered by resource constraints, we donated 15 desktop computers to establish a computer lab, which has helped several students update themselves with crucial digital literacy skills, bridge the digital divide and expand their skills and learning opportunities. We also donated 15 sewing machines, enabling students to acquire practical skills that can prove to be crucial for their entrepreneurial ventures to enhance their financial independence.

EKAL VIDYALAYA- FRIENDS OF TRIBAL SOCIETY

Partnering with the Friends of Tribal Society, we now support the “Ekal Vidyalaya” movement, a remarkable 1 teacher school initiative. Presently, we are actively supporting 51 Ekal Vidyalayas across West Bengal that help children from underserved regions pursue educational opportunities and achieve basic literacy.

COVID VACCINE DRIVE- HEAD OFFICE AND DEULTI

During the COVID-19 outbreak, we conducted vaccination drives for our employees at our head office and Deulti unit. The program was extended to the families and communities surrounding our Deulti unit, prioritizing the health and well-being of our workforce while also contributing to a broader community within the regions of our operation.

CERVICAL CANCER VACCINE DRIVE – MARWARI RELEIF SOCIETY

In collaboration with the century-old Marwari Relief Society, we organized a vaccine drive against cervical cancer, a disease that disproportionately affects women and presents a significant public health challenge. Our contribution included 200 vaccines towards this crucial health program, with an aim to promote access to preventative care and reduce the prevalence of this disease within the community, directly addressing a critical need for vulnerable populations.

PROSTHETIC LIMBS- NARAYAN SEVA SANSTHAN

Partnering with the Narayan Seva Sansthan we donated prosthetic limbs to empower the differently abled. This initiative restored mobility, independence, and social and economic inclusion. We aimed to break down barriers, enabling individuals to reclaim societal roles. We believe this will promote a future where healthcare is accessible, and communities thrive.

Bada Bazar Yuvak Sabha

Supporting the Barabazar Yuvak Sabha is another example demonstrating our dedication to community empowerment. Established in 1923, the club seeks to support and empower talented athletes who lack financial resources to pursue their passion. Their volleyball team consistently participates and excels in various state leagues and knockout championships. They have secured victories in numerous matches and are a regular presence in West Bengal's Super 8 teams.

Kolkata Kiddathon- Round Table India

We proudly supported Round Table India's Kolkata Kiddathon 2024, promoting children's health and community spirit. The event featured a children's marathon and activities, raising funds for development of schools in rural Bengal.

Midnight Cycling Race- Round Table India

We supported the Midnight Cycling Race organized by Round Table India, demonstrating our commitment to community development. The event successfully raised funds to support local government schools in West Bengal. This initiative aims to improve educational infrastructure and provide essential resources, fostering a better learning environment for students.

Ekal Run

Employees from our Head Office have participated in the Ekal Run Marathon, organized by the youth wing of Friends of Tribal Society. The event aims at raising awareness and funds for the education of tribal and rural children. Since its inception in 2019, the event has scaled across various cities like Gwalior, Surat, Indore and Assam.

AD MY BIN

We support Ad My Bin, an initiative that addresses critical waste disposal issues in India through installing disposal bins. As of now, we have installed over 100 bins in cities like Bhubaneshwar, Cuttack, Durgapur, Kolkata and Siliguri. The initiative also focuses on waste recycling and providing stable employment for waste collectors, offering 1 permanent job per 40 bins. We believe this model demonstrates how social responsibility and sustainable business can create a more environmentally conscious and equitable future.

SOS VILLAGE

To support vulnerable children at SOS Children's Village, we installed a reliable water tank, ensuring consistent clean water access. This simple act promises health and stability, fostering a nurturing environment. We hope this contributes to their brighter, more secure future, allowing them to thrive.
