Galvanised Stranded Wires

Standard Wires are metal cables which are used for their tensile strength. Generally, they are made up of 6 wires stranded around 1 wire (in total, there are seven wires twisted together) and may be from a few millimeters to several centimeters in diameter. Several cables made up of twisted components may themselves be combined to form a single stay wire. The metals normally used are steel, copper, aluminium, zinc, stainless steel (or their alloys) and even galvanized steel. A common use for stay wires is in the electricity industry, using the wire to stay power poles and tower structures.
