In the year 1971, Mr. Ram Autar Saraf, the founder and visionary of the Nirmal Group of Companies,set out to carve a place for himself in the world of business. He commenced operations with a small steel wire drawing unit, with an annual turnover of INR 1,000,000 ($25,000).

After many years of hard labour and despite turbulent conditions, in the year 1985 he went a step forward and put up a steel wire galvanizing plant under the name of Nirmal Wires Pvt. Ltd. This was an act of forward integration to the existing drawing operation. At this stage, Mr. Nirmal Saraf and Mr. Raman Saraf joined the business, and together the team knew no limits. In a few years, the group established a flourishing business in the field of galvanised wires.

Nirmal Group built up a clientele who were extremely happy with the quality of the products manufactured and services rendered. From here, the group moved from one milestone to another, and now manufactures a wide range of products. Its various companies together have an annual turnover of INR 160 crores (US$ 40 million).
